Bespoke Jewellery Of Significance.
New Zealand jewellery designer and maker Penelope Barnhill opened her studio thirty years ago. Her desire to be a practising artist was seeded young and led to a Diploma in print making and sculpture. Creative New Zealand acknowledged her fresh approach, awarding her an emerging artist grant.
Penelope’s approach to designing new pieces is distinctly unique. Auckland War Museum and the Dowse Art Museum have purchased her work for permanent collection, and she has exhibited it extensively nationally and internationally.
Her love of colour is reflected in the fine gems she chooses, which are complemented by pure gold, fine silver, and 18t gold in white, rose, and green alloys.
