Tina De Suza
My name is Tina De Suza, and I'm an artisan silversmith jeweller. I work out of a tiny home workshop in Tinopai on the Kaipara Harbour, in the north of New Zealand.
My work is mainly in sterling silver and copper, often with gemstones, Czech glass and resin. All the sterling jewellery is handmade by me, using mostly the old traditional silversmithing methods, with some modern casting. I also have a passion for vintage cutlery, and from time to time I make earrings and bracelets with it, along with beautiful bud vases and stamped butter spreaders.
Lots of my inspiration comes from living by the sea, surrounded by nature; rural life is bliss for me! My downtime is spent doting on three spoiled rescue kitties, my trusty sewing machine, and a husband who spends his days volunteering for the NZ Coastguard.
