This Art Toki pendant is carved from genuine NZ Pounamu (Greenstone) which is set with recycled Rimu wood & NZ Paua Shell fragments in clear resin.
Sourced from Hokitika in the South Island, carved in Urenui , Aotearoa (New Zealand). Pounamu is of great cultural significance for Maori and is believed to enhance mana (prestige) of its possessor. When received as a gift Pounamu is said to gain value as a special treasure.
