I have been working with clay, glaze and fire for the last 30 years and in the last 20 of those years l have specialized in raku fired pottery.
I make mostly wheel thrown pieces but also wall tiles.
My work features coastal scenes which are inspired by where l live near Punakaiki overlooking the Tasman sea.
The base glaze is copper which during post firing reduction adds the magic to the piece in unpredictable and exciting ways.
Works are best kept out of direct sunlight and are not designed to hold liquid.
