Pedestrian | Yellow Wall Art
Another original mixed media piece from the talented Brendan Adams. This delightful wall sculpture in yellow, white, and grey with brass figure and ceramic pedestrian crossing will look great in any space. Encaustic wax forms the interesting background.
Encaustic wax is an ancient technique first developed by Greeks, Romans and Egyptians then made popular by such artists as Diego Rivera and Jasper Johns. Upwards of 50 layers of pigment, molten beeswax and demar tree resin are fused together with flame. 6-12 months of curing takes place before being buffed by hand to a glossy sheen.
