Pounamu Hei Matau Pendant

This Marsden Flower Jade Pounamu (Maori for New Zealand Greenstone/Jade) Hook Pendant comes from Greymouth in the South Island. A hei matau is a bone or greenstone carving in the shape of a highly stylised fish hook. They represent good luck and safe travel across water. Two Donald's Greenstone is carved in the South Island by Chris Pryor (Ngati Waewae) who seeks to combine excellent carving with contemporary style.
