




Tauhou | Silvereye Bird Necklace
This little Tauhou (Silvereye) flits around in the garden near bird feeders, Kowhai flowers and fruiting trees. Silvereye arrived in great numbers from Australia in the 1850s, and Maori named the bird Tauhou, meaning `stranger' or `new arrival'.
Highly polished sterling silver bird (10mm x 14mm), suspended from a 45cm/18 inch sterling silver chain, with a hook closure and Lilygriffin name tag.
Handmade in New Zealand.
